This year’s Bike Shed London event at Tobacco Dock will be even bigger and better, using much more of the dockside buildings and outdoor space. We’re adding an ‘invitational’ element to the curated bikes on display, so you’ll see even more unique bikes of higher quality, with most of them being show exclusives with plenty of reveals and launches, from the pro builders, shed builders and manufacturers.
Fri 7pm – 11pm (Evening – Press/Preview Event, Limited public tickets available in advance ONLY)
Sat 10am – 10pm
Sun 10am – 6pm

We’re ramping-up the food & drink offer with more choice and shorter queues, there will be more music and entertainment with bands and screenings. We’ll also have the usual barbershop, tattoos, whiskey and cigar lounge, and selected brands will be selling the best in gear and apparel.
All the big manufactures are on board this year, so you can expect to see plenty of new stuff from Öhlins, Rev’It, Triumph, Indian, Ducati, Yamaha and BMW, which you won’t see at the trade fairs.
Tickets are now on sale. It’s cheaper to buy in advance, there are some early bird discounts on the Friday Night Press Preview event – if you’re fast. There are only 1,000 Preview Tickets available and they usually sell out well in advance. (They are valid ALL weekend too).
Our tickets are sold through Universe, a TicketMaster company, for your security and so we can use their clever tech and whizz-bang door scanners. If you need a refund because you’ve made a mistake in ordering please do through the contact system on our ticket page on their site.
We cannot offer refunds after midday on Thursday 25th May.
Bike Shed Gold Members
Your 2017 Gold BSMC membership card is your show ticket, plus one, for the whole weekend. Just flash the card for entry from 7pm on Friday and throughout the weekend. (Old 2016 black cards can not be used).
WEEKEND vs DAY TICKETS?
We don’t sell separate tickets for one day. If we did they would be the same price as the “weekend pass”. We think we’re already very good value for what’s on offer, and much cheaper than like for like experiences and events. We called the tickets “weekend passes” simply because we wanted to reward our visitors by allowing multiple entry all weekend.
If someone offers to sell you tickets online, say no. Buy fresh ones from the official page.
This year we are being super-strict on the quality of bikes, and we want new builds that have not been seen at other shows – all in the cafe racer, scrambler, tracker, bobber, new-wave custom sectors. As well as accepting appropriate bikes from Pro Builders, Semi-Pros, Manufactures and Shed Builders we are also adding an “invitational” element to this years event with up to 100 bikes being there by special Invitation and with No Charge to the builder. We will either get in touch with you directly, or we will look at your submission and offer an invitational place.
If you have a bike to show that you think fits the bill, then please fill out the submission form HERE. We want the best of the best – new customs that haven’t been seen elsewhere or been around for a few years.
BIKES ON DISPLAY
All the bikes on show at Bike Shed 2017 are invited and curated by us. We pick the best of the best from the new wave, cafe racer, tracker, scrambler, bobber, brat-style scenes, built by the pros, the semi-pros and the shed-builders, and we make sure that every bike has earned it place on our Bike Shed plinths.
There are no ugly ropes to get in the way of your photos and we trust our visitors to keep their bums of seats and to leave the throttle alone.
We avoid showing bikes that have been seen elsewhere or that appear at every other show, not because they’re not lovely, but because we want to make sure you have a reason to come and see what’s new. We hope you appreciate the extra effort.
We will have a special Shed-Built section at the show, and we will also have a section where there are some selected bikes for sale, and we are planning to reserve a floor of the on-site bike park for bikes that are a bit special and that visitors might want to go and see. More news on that soon.
BRANDS & RETAILERS
Just like the bikes, the art and the photography, every brand, retailer and exhibitor is selected by us, and we try to fill the show with the most appropriate and relevant exhibitors that will make a great show, whether they produce helmets, gloves, wallets, screen prints, apparel, hats, jeans, parts, accessories or experiences, they are the best we could find.
If you are a Brand Exhibitor or Brand Retailer and you want to be at the show, we are pretty much full, but you can email us at [email protected]
Sponsorships are now all spoken for.
Disabled access is very good with lots of ramps, etc, but we do not have any on-site wheelchairs.
There is loads of great food & drink on offer, but if you have allergies, please bring your own snacks, to be super-safe.
If you have any question not answered here or on our Facebook pages, please email [email protected]
FACEBOOK & SOCIAL MEDIA
Keep an eye on the Facebook Event page to see which of your mates are going, who might be riding to London from your area and general updates. #BikeShedLondon2017 and @BikeShedMC are the official tags for either Twitter or Instagram.
We have an onsite, internal, multi-story car park for Motorcycles on Saturday and Sunday (but NOT Friday), which we will staff – and it’s free. Park up and walk in. The entrance is via Pennington Street (NOT Wapping Lane).
***UPDATE ON OVERNIGHT PARKING (SATURDAY)***
We have now agreed with TD that you can leave your bike parked overnight in the on-site multi-storey park on Saturday night ONLY – but AT YOUR OWN RISK. It is private property so there is no public access outside our opening hours, so hopefully no scrotes, but also, you can’t get your bike out until Sunday am.
The coat check is also free.
There is NO organised on-site bike parking on Friday night during the Press/Preview event.
Cars may choose to use the Wapping Lane multi-story car park. We are NOT the operators and are not responsible for the prices, terms or security there. You can book a parking place in advance. THIS LINK may help.
There are several hotels within close proximity to Tobacco Docks: Dockside hotel, The Tower Hotel, Cheval Three Quays, Holiday Inn Whitechapel & Travelodge Aldgate East are some of the nearest.
KIDS, DOGS, etc…
This is a very family friendly event. Kids under 16 go free and they’ll be safe.
We love dogs, and we do allow them at our full-time Shoreditch venue, but sadly dogs are not allowed inside the exhibition space at Tobacco Dock – except Guide Dogs.
These are just some of the bike brands exhibiting… there are many more.
Here’s how it went down last year…
There is no Bike Shed Paris event this year. We loved doing our show in the French Capital, but this year we want to put all our time, energy and resources into making the London Show our BIG European Show, with all the European builders and exhibitors taking part in a world-class event. We hope you’ll all see the difference.
