Not only one, but two nights of American Flat Track racing will take place in South Dakota during the legendary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. A few days after the Buffalo Chip TT presented by Indian Motorcycle on Sunday, August 6 racing fans can migrate to Rapid City on Tuesday, August 8 to experience some Half-Mile action at Black Hills Speedway with the Harley-Davidson Black Hills Half-Mile.
In one of the hands-down most exciting GNC1 (now AFT Twins) races of 2016, title heavyweights Bryan Smith Racing and Jared Mees Racing duked it out with Smith taking the win by just .207 of second. In the GNC2 class, Smith’s training partner, Flyin’ Ryan Wells Racing, also took the top spot on the podium over Dalton Gauthier Racing.
Last year’s race was a star-studded event with an appearance by UFC president Dana White as a special guest of Harley-Davidson. Indian Motorcycle also rolled out its new Indian Scout FTR750 into the paddock for spectator and riders to see.
