For the third weekend on the trot in the Southeast, the series heads to North Carolina for the Harley-Davidson Charlotte Half-Mile on Saturday, April 1. The world-class The Dirt Track at Charlotte at Charlotte Motor Speedway will play host to the best dirt track motorcycle riders in the world for the third year in a row, but on an all-new date, trading the thick heat of a Southern Summer for the Spring.
Fun for all ages with demo rides, music and a kid zone in the vendor area, this year’s Charlotte Half-Mile will also mark the second year of promotion by the sanctioning body’s subsidiary event promotion company, AFT Events.
Last year, three-time Grand National Champion Jared Mees Racing won the CHDDA Charlotte Half-Mile over Brandon Robinson. While Mees took top honors in GNC1 (now AFT Twins), the up-and-coming stars in GNC2 (now AFT Singles) battled it out for the W until the “flying tomato” Kolby Carlile Racing secured the victory over the 2016 GNC2 champion Ryan Wells Racing.
