Hi sorry for the late reply, I had a bike crash which put the build on hold and on top of that been busy with a new job but things are starting to get back on track now. Sent you a request and a message on FB.

    Thanks

Hi everyone, so made some progress on the bike that I figure is worth documenting. I've welded on a seat loop/ Hoop which I had made but it was too wide so had to do some modifications (cutting franticly with an angle grinder and welding the two half's back together) to get it to fit. managed to remove off all the old powder coat and rust and put on new epoxy paint and also did the triple tree with it. the original plan was to build a café racer but it seems everyone is doing that these days and looking at how the build is going I'm thinking of doing a street scrambler as I prefer the riding position and personally think they look cool.

Ill try to post more pics regularly now as once the engine is running and has been painted and polished the build will start to come together. I'm also hoping to have a rolling frame mocked up by the end of Monday but without the engine just frame, forks, swingarm, new rear shocks and the wheels. I may also throw on the handlebars and twin headlights if there's time.

Okay so got a fair bit done today, I've cleaned up the rear shocks, painted the forks, painted the swingarm (drying as I'm typing this) replaced bearings and headstock bearing cups, and also found all the important engine mounting bolts which I've placed in the frame for safe keeping.

Tomorrow ill be getting it to a rolling frame and then once that's done ill start the refurb/ rebuild work on the engine and petrol tank. I'm also starting to look towards wiring and have found a wiring diagram to follow and I've ordered a new speedo but it reads in Kph not Mph but so does the bike I use for work so not a big deal.
