Obviously, London is on lock-down, so all bars, shops, restaurants and non-essential businesses have been told to close by the UK government, which we fully support. Equally obviously, this sucks, for us and for all our visitors, members, friends and crew.
While the club is closed we are effectively in hibernation with a skeleton crew of people looking after non-venue related business in the UK and US.
After Friday 27th March we will be slow to respond to any general emails and the London phone will be on answerphone, as our UK office is also closed, for the safety of our team, and in accordance with government guidelines.
We will be back and open as soon as we are able, but meanwhile, we will try to keep you entertained and informed on social media, and we are continuing with the LA project build, which is still due to open in Autumn/Fall this year.
If you are one of the few people who are less affected by this crisis financially than others, we’d love to encourage you to buy cool Bike Shed gear online, but we feel generally too embarrassed to advertise this to the general population right now, as we know most people are having a pretty crap time.
More importantly, please look after yourselves and those around you, and try to be considerate and kind to others. A crisis like this brings out the best and worst in people. However, in our experience, motorcycle riders tend to be among the very best of humankind.
We wish all of you the very best of luck and the best of health in these horrible times, and we hope everyone in our community will survive the personal and financial challenges ahead of us.
When this is all over, we’ll all be wiser and stronger – and bikes will be just as much fun, if not more so.
Dutch, Vikki, Stew & the Bike Shed Crew.
If you have any urgent enquiries, you can email [email protected] but please don’t expect a fast response unless it is genuinely very important. News about the May show will come as soon as we have it. No news from us, simply means no news.
