Honda CR750
By Ross Sharp - 08 Jan 19
As the lines have become ever more blurred in the custom world between traditional café racers and actual race bikes it's occasionally worth a reminder that classic competition machinery perhaps demonstrated being the most custom of custom bikes. The focused goal of winning had the propensity to favour function over form but thankfully some of the best engineers were able to combine beauty with performance.
The simplistic yet flowing silhouette of this Honda CR750 is simply gorgeous. So much effort has been made over recent years to remove fairings and pair everything right back, but I'm glad that to see the return of bodywork. To do it right takes a trained eye and a lot of skill, something we've seen recently from deBolex Engineering with their Ducati 803 Special for example.
Our pals over at Silodrome have detailed feature of this super rare factory racer over on their website.
