KO Customs xs650
By Anthony van Someren - 06 Sep 12
Raphael Lutterkort wrote to The Shed and sent us these superb pics of Kingston Oehlerking Custom Motorcycles's XS650. KO Customs (as we've decided to call them) have been building bikes since 2010 and we'd love to see what else they've been up to.
So, the donor is an '81 xs650 - a custom favourite - with forks and rear end from a Zephyr 750, suspended on KONI rear shocks. Handlebars comes from a CBR1000F while the frame, tanks, footpegs, etc were all made or modified by Kingston, and the engine benefits from breathing through 38mm Mikunis, although we're not sure where the exhaust came from - but it looks sweet.
Also in the pipeline; a Honda CX 500, Yamaha SR 500. Kawasaki W, Royal Enfield. For more info, check out KO Customs blog
