Tritons – Triumph engines shoe-horned into Norton Frames – have been around for a long time but with 52 years riding experience Tim from North Wales decided to build his using a more modern Thruxton engine, so, all the cool looks but without patches of oil on the garage floor.
Tim sourced a Hinkley donor engine and had Burgess Frames build the frame while Metmachex built the swingarm and bottom yokes, and Maxtons designed the rear suspension and fitted their own cartridges to the front forks.
John Williams at the tank shop fabricated the tank, rear mudguard and side panels. The exhaust is an Arrow look-alike and has been modified. Tim used a number of local companies in North Wales for various other specialised components, while the wheels, headlight and clocks are OEM Triumph as Tim liked the looks.
